        Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Staten Island.  All members and visitors are invited to familiarize themselves with our club and the activities, projects and events which we are proud to be involved in.  Special thanks to Immediate Past-President Mark Scamardella and Club Secretary Lou DeMartino for their efforts in getting our fine new website up and running.

        As we enter the new Rotary year, the Rotary Club of Staten Island remains dedicated to the mission of Community Service.  In March 2010, we will celebrate our 89th year since being chartered by Rotary International. This is a long history with many meaningful accomplishments which I am confident our current membership is motivated to perpetuate.  While helping others, we also must remain mindful of the challenges we face due to the economic conditions in our society.  Let us all try to be aware of any members who may need support.  We want to sustain our current good membership.  Additionally, I ask each member to pay special attention to our number one priority this year - the recruitment of eligible new members.  As we promote our mission through the club's accomplishments and conduct business and initate contacts, we should keep an eye open for those special people who would thrive amongst the community leaders who presently comprise our club.

        I look forward to a very productive and fulfilling year, and working closely with all the members of the Rotary Club of Staten Island.
